Common Water Heater Problems

Leaking Tank

If you find out your water heater is leaking, shut off your home’s water valve. It’s typically placed in your basement, near furnace or water heater, or under your kitchen sink.

A leaky tank may be signaling you need to get a new water heater.

Not Enough Hot Water

Not getting any, or not enough warm water out of your tap? If you use a gas water heater, there could be an issue with the pilot light.

Not enough hot water may also indicate that your water heater is giving out and needs to be replaced.

Water is Too Hot or Too Cold

Your water heater may be too small. We can help you calculate how much you use and take care of the issue.

Other Water Heater Problems

  • Rumbling noises coming from the tank
  • Discolored, white-colored or rusty water
  • Foul-smelling water
  • Leaking pressure relief valve

As water heaters generally hold 50 gallons of water, failure can lead to a catastrophic flood.
